1. What ShotCheck is
ShotCheck is an information-aggregation tool that helps you see what other people have publicly said about peptides on platforms like TikTok, Reddit, YouTube, and Instagram. It also offers personal tracking and photo journaling features that operate locally on your device.
ShotCheck is not medical advice. We are not a healthcare provider, pharmacy, telehealth service, or vendor. We do not sell, distribute, or recommend any peptide or compound. The content displayed in the app is excerpted from public posts by third parties and does not represent ShotCheck's views.
You are solely responsible for any decisions you make about your health.
2. Who can use ShotCheck
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. If you live where the age of majority is higher than 18, that higher age applies.
You may not use ShotCheck if you are barred from doing so by applicable law.
3. Your account
- You may use ShotCheck anonymously. If you sign in with Apple, you authorize us to associate your Apple ID identifier with your account.
- You're responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- One human per account. No bots.
4. Acceptable use — zero-tolerance covenant
On first launch ShotCheck asks you to accept these terms before reaching the app. Acceptance includes a zero-tolerance covenant: objectionable content, abusive users, and dangerous medical advice are not permitted on ShotCheck.
You agree not to:
- Post content that promotes the unlicensed sale of pharmaceuticals or controlled substances.
- Post content that is illegal, harassing, deceptive, hateful, doxxing, threatening, or sexually explicit.
- Impersonate another person or entity.
- Recommend specific dosing, sourcing, or stacking protocols intended to be acted on by others without medical supervision.
- Use ShotCheck to scrape, mirror, or republish our database.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source from our app or API except where permitted by law.
- Interfere with the security or integrity of ShotCheck.
We remove content and suspend accounts that violate these rules. Serious or repeated violations result in permanent bans.
5. User content and moderation
You retain ownership of what you post in the community. By posting, you grant ShotCheck a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, display, distribute, and (in anonymized aggregate) analyze your posts for the purpose of operating the service. You represent that you have the right to post what you post and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights.
ShotCheck operates four moderation layers to keep the community safe:
- Submission-time content filter — a conservative banned-token check runs locally on every thread, reply, and review before submission. Violations are blocked with an inline error and never reach our servers.
- Per-post flag affordance — every thread and reply can be flagged with a categorized reason (Spam, Dangerous advice, Harassment, Off-topic, Other). Three flags auto-hide the content pending manual review.
- Block account — blocking a user instantly removes their content from your feed and notifies our moderation team so we can review the content within 24h. Your block list is reviewable and reversible at Profile → Privacy & data → Blocked accounts.
- Manual review — objectionable content reported by flag or block is reviewed by the team and removed within 24h where it violates these terms.
We may remove any content for any reason at our discretion, with or without notice. Accounts used to harass, dox, or post dangerous medical advice are banned without warning.
6. Pricing
ShotCheck v1.0 is 100% free. Every feature in the current version is available to every user at no cost. The app has no in-app purchases, no auto-renewable subscriptions, no trial timer, no upgrade prompts, and no external payment links.
Accounts are also free. A device-local anonymous account is auto-created on first launch with no fee, no signup form, and no email collection. Sign in with Apple is optional and also free.
A future version (v1.1) will introduce optional Pro features as a paid auto-renewable subscription. Users who created an account during v1.0 are grandfathered into permanent Founding Member status — the Pro features that ship later will be automatically and permanently included in their account at no cost. When v1.1 ships, these terms will be updated to describe the subscription disclosures required by Apple, and you will be notified in-app and by email (if we have it).
7. Intellectual property
ShotCheck, the ShotCheck name, and our logos are our property. You may not use them without permission, except to indicate that content was shared from ShotCheck. Third-party content excerpted in the app is the property of its respective owners and used for purposes of commentary and aggregation.
8. Disclaimers — please read
ShotCheck is informational only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider before making any decisions about your health. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in ShotCheck. Reliance on any information in the app is solely at your own risk.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or freshness of any content sourced from third-party platforms. Reports from individual users are not evidence of safety or efficacy.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShotCheck and its affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, or personal injury, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to ShotCheck is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions don't allow certain liability limitations. To the extent your jurisdiction doesn't, the foregoing applies to the maximum extent permitted.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, losses, or damages, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from your use of ShotCheck or your violation of these terms.
11. Termination
You can stop using ShotCheck and delete your account at any time via Profile → Delete account (the last section of the Profile screen, in red). Deletion wipes your server-side account, sessions, community posts and replies, search history, reviews, and authentication tokens in a single transaction. On-device data (progress photos, tracker logs) is destroyed by iOS when you uninstall the app.
We can suspend or terminate your account for violation of these terms or applicable law, with or without notice.
Sections 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13 survive termination.
12. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes must be resolved in the state or federal courts in Hudson County, New Jersey, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in any court of competent jurisdiction.
Where required by law, you have the right to opt out of mandatory arbitration. This version of the terms does not include a mandatory arbitration clause. We may add one in a future version with 30 days' notice; you'll have a chance to opt out at that time.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms periodically. Material changes will be announced in-app and by email (if we have it). Continued use after a change means you accept the new version.
